VIRGINIA’S OUTBACK is the nickname for the 21 counties of Southwest Virginia. Including the MAGNIFICENT SEVEN Coal Mining counties, the Outback has been a focal point in the shaping of the great state of Virginia. Our goal at AWSOM AMERICANA is to make a living record of all the things that have made Southwest Virginia great, past, present and future, and putting it on the World Wide Web so that the whole world can be entertained and enlightened about our great region.

We have been and will continue to videotape regional events, activities and individuals in and around the Outback, with a special emphasis on History, Culture, Business and Education. With our Broadband hookup, we will have a full catalog of these things on our Website for public access, as well as offering DVD’s of our programs for sale at low prices.
